Registration is NOW OPEN for BSS 2026: Nottingham!

The 50th Anniversary meeting of the British Scoliosis Society (BSS) - Conference and Exhibition is coming to the East Midlands Conference Centre, Nottingham on 19-20 November 2026

This special meeting will celebrate five decades of advances in scoliosis and spinal deformity care while showcasing the latest research, innovation and clinical practice. Bringing together consultant surgeons, fellows, trainees, medical students, researchers, allied health professionals, nurses and industry partners from across the UK and internationally, the conference offers an outstanding opportunity to learn, share experiences, build collaborations and help shape the future of the specialty.

The anniversary meeting will be complemented by a range of dedicated educational and specialist events on Wednesday 18 November, including Educational Day Sessions for consultants, fellows and senior trainees, an Allied Health Professionals and Nurses Day, and a programme focused on Conservative Care. We are also delighted to host meetings of the BSIN and NPSAN, further strengthening opportunities for multidisciplinary learning, discussion and collaboration.

Whether you are a long-standing member of the Society or attending for the first time, you can look forward to an engaging scientific programme, expert-led discussions, networking opportunities and the chance to celebrate this important milestone with colleagues from across the scoliosis and spinal deformity community.

Deadline for submissions: Thursday 13 August at 23:59 (UK time)
Please ensure all abstracts are submitted in full before the deadline, we will not be able to accept late submissions.

This is your chance to present your research, innovations, and clinical work to a wide audience of professionals dedicated to the care and research of scoliosis and spinal deformities. The BSS would like to invite abstracts on a variety of topics for consideration to be presented either oral or poster presentations during the conference in Nottingham.

Please note: If you do not already have one, you will need to create a free Oxford Abstracts account to submit abstracts.

All completed abstracts will be considered for EITHER an oral 5-minute podium presentation OR a poster presentation for the conference, which will be taking place in London as a face-to-face meeting. There will be no options for virtual/remote presentations.
