The British Scoliosis Society represents surgeons, healthcare workers and researchers interested in the nature of and treatment of scoliosis and complex spine disorders in children and adults. 

Membership secures access to the members-only areas of this website and resources, as well as discounted rates to the British Scoliosis Society Annual Meeting and BritSpine. For a full list of member benefits, please visit our Member Benefits page.

Applications must be supported by a current member as a referee.
If you are unable to be supported by a current member, please email membership@britscoliosis.org.uk before applying for further details.

The BSS Executive review all applications around 4 times a year at their executive meetings. 
Once approved, applicants will become full members under the membership level applied for.

Whilst payment is required during the application process, your application would be pending until the BSS Executive approve your application. If you application is rejected, the amount will be refunded back to you.

The membership levels that can be applied for are:

Fellow - Surgical Consultant member (£100.00 per year)
Fellow - Surgical Trainee member (£30.00 per year) 
Corresponding Fellow - Overseas Member (£50.00 per year)
Fellow - Non-Surgical member (£30.00 per year*)

*The BSS can offer an option for a 1-year rebate/refund on membership fees for new non-surgical members. Email membership@britscoliosis.org.uk for further details.

The BSS also offers retired memberships. Please contact us to arrange this if you have recently retired and are an existing or previous BSS member.
